Life brought more changes to Yvette and Irfan. Yvette was going to be a mommy. Irfan was going to be a daddy. The news came as quite a shock. Yvette was never sick. She had no clue she was pregnant. Then suddenly she realized she was late. Very very late. A quick trip to the doctor's office confirmed it. She was having a baby.
At first Yvette was just shocked. She had NEVER wanted kids. That was Tracy's dream. But she was having Irfan's baby. Somehow that made it ok. She loved Irfan. She didn't want to admit it but she did. He was the only man she had ever loved. She just hoped he did run off when she told him the news.
Well Irfan didn't run. It was a shocking turn of events but he was actually kind of happy about it. This made him family. This gave him a reason to stay. This would forever tie him to Yvette. He actually liked that idea. Being forever bound to her. He didn't know about faithful forever but forever together he knew he could do. So maybe they should make it official.
Though a part of him couldn't believe he was doing this, Irfan went shopping for an engagement ring. He wasn't sure what Yvette's reaction would be. He wasn't sure she'd agree to marry him. But life's about chances and you never know until you try so Irfan got down on one knee and asked Yvette if should would consider marrying him.
Yvette was shocked. Something like this could put a girl like her into premature labor. A ring. He was offering her a ring. She never in a million years thought that he would do this. He was like her. He didn't like commitments. But now he was offering her a lifetime commitment.
After a brief pause, during which time Irfan couldn't breath, Yvette said yes. It was a quiet yes at first. Barely more than a whisper. Then she said it again just a little louder. Then she said it again and threw her arms around Irfan. She loved this man. She wanted to be with him always. She couldn't promise fidelity but she could promise forever.
No, Yvette and Irfan had no grand notion that the other would forever be faithful to each other. But they both promised to forever be bound to one another not just for the sake of their child but for the sake of their hearts. It's not often that two people like themselves find true love. When it happens you have to grab it and hold on with both hands. Then comes the tricky part - you never let go.
Their union took place quickly and quietly. They both made vows. They both excluded the faithful part. They both said until death do us part. And in the end Yvette became Mrs. Irfan Wilsonoff.
Then they made one last promise to each other. No matter what happened, they would never let their child get hurt. They were adults. They could handle disappointment. But neither of them wanted their child to experience disappointment. They both vowed to never let their child see anything that would hurt him....ever. They would keep him safe and sheltered...no matter what.

Heh! No matter what. Looks to me like mommy and daddy had bad memories of engagement and marriage. I hope they can stay faithful ... or at least put up the appearance of faithfulness. I know how these romance sims can be if you aren't careful.
