Avery Legacy - Chapter 3 - Telling Tracy

Eventually Aaron went to tell Tracy the news. It's not like she wouldn't notice a wife and baby. He would simply be honest with her. He would just tell her he'd made a terrible mistake and that he couldn't fix it. He loved her but he married Nancy. He'd always love her but he couldn't be with her. He would hold her when she cried and then walk away and let her rebuild her life. That's exactly what he planned on doing...right up until she kissed him. Then it all went out the window. When she smiled at him and told him she missed him the words just wouldn't come. When she took him by the hand and led him upstairs to their old bed...

All he wanted to do was pretend he wasn't married. She would eventually see the ring though. She would eventually know. He had to tell her. So...he did. He started at the beginning and told her everything. She never screamed. She never cried. She never even moved. Whatever Aaron was expecting, this wasn't it. She just calmly sat there looking at nothing and not saying a word.

Finally she stood up and Aaron began to expect the worse. His heart was breaking but he knew that it had to be worse for her. She stood beside the bed for what seemed like an eternity...

and then suddenly she was taking him in her arms. When he tried to say something she just sushed him. Then she kissed him. It was a kiss filled with love, longing and desperation. With tears rolling down her face she took back what was hers.

Aaron knew that he shouldn't but there was no way that he wouldn't. The look in her eyes was more than he could take and if this took away her pain then he would commit adultry. He gave Tracy everything he had. He tried to give her his heart and soul. When it was over his eyes slowly closed and he fell asleep holding the woman that he loved.

Later when Aaron was asleep Tracy crept out of the bed and then out of the house. She couldn't be there when he left. She couldn't bare to see him leave. Her heart had been riped out. She didn't think she would ever be whole again.
